Els Pinxus

Els Pinxus is a restaurant serving pinxus and tapas on Marià Cubí street in Barcelona. The premises are long and narrow, and each area has its own character: the entrance with its plants, the bar, the upholstered booths, the brick mural and the book room.

The lighting follows that route. At the bar, metal pendants mark the work area and a line of light under the counter brings out the timber front. The display case has its own lighting, so the pinxus can be seen clearly from the dining room.

Above the booths, glass and metal lanterns leave the bulb in view and give warm light to each table. On the brick wall, wall lights illuminate the mural, and the «OUS!» bulb letters are a point of reference inside the restaurant.

In the book room, the shelves are lit from within and two pendants are centred over the table. At the entrance, light from the planters picks out the plants and the timber, and makes the restaurant visible from the street.
