Casa Batlló

We had the privilege of developing the lighting project for the new Simbòlic Store at Casa Batlló, one of the most iconic landmarks of Modernisme in Barcelona.

The main goal was to integrate a contemporary lighting system into an architectural setting of great heritage value, respecting the essence of the space and enhancing the visitor experience.

We worked with a system of technical tracks in a black finish with brass details, in dialogue with the warm materials of the furniture and the building’s rich ornamentation. The lighting combines high-precision adjustable spotlights, which accent both product and architecture, with warm ambient light that envelops the space and brings out textures, wood and display elements.

In the more distinctive areas, such as the stage-like space with red curtains and neon, we sought a more theatrical atmosphere, reinforcing the identity of the place through controlled contrasts and a carefully chosen colour temperature.

The result is a balance between technique and emotion: functional retail lighting that, at the same time, respects and highlights the architectural power of Casa Batlló.
